SHOCK as man who was released from Kamiti Prison two months ago kills step son in cold blood (DETAILs)

Thursday, June 06, 2019- A man who was released from Kamiti two months ago, after spending five years at the Maximum Prison over attempted murder, has been arrested after he hacked his stepson to death in Sotik, Bomet County on Wednesday.

The ex-convict identified as David Chelule, 40, hacked the two-year-old minor to death with a machete at their home in Kaptilolwo Village.

Apparently, he suspected that the boy was born from an extramarital affair while he was in prison.

The body of the minor was found lying in a pool of neighbors who raised alarm.

Furious members of the public nearly lynched the suspect but police officers came to his rescue and whisked him to Sotik Police station.

The boy’s mother, aged 35, was not at home during the incident.

The suspect and his wife of 10 years had only one child, a 5-year old girl, before he was imprisoned.

Mr. Chelule served five years at Kamiti Maximum Prison after he was found guilty of attempting to kill his brother’s son and was released two months ago.

“He has frequently quarreled with his wife accusing her of infidelity. We did not know the differences over the child will degenerate into such an incident,” a neighbor stated.
