Monday June 17, 2019 - Kandara Member of Parliament, Alice Wahome, has hit back at President Uhuru Kenyatta for lecturing Jubilee leaders from Central Kenya region over early 2022 campaigns.

Speaking during an interview on Monday, Wahome, who is a member of the Tanga Tanga outfit, termed as unfortunate Uhuru's remarks during the 2019 Akorino Annual Conference held at Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi yesterday.

The legislator noted that leaders from Mount Kenya region were not elected because they supported Uhuru's presidential bid and that the President lied about it and should be ashamed of himself.

"I do not think I am a beneficiary of anyone, and I think that goes for everyone else.”

“It is unfortunate that the President can stand on a religious podium and speak such words to his people," she said.
