Monday June 24, 2019 - National Assembly Majority Leader, Aden Duale, seems to have also seen the light and jumped off Deputy President William Ruto’s sinking ship.

Speaking yesterday, Duale insisted that all politicians have no choice other than to support the unity deal between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.

This is even as a team closely associated with Deputy President William Ruto has expressed dissatisfaction in the famous handshake, claiming that it's a move to sabotage the DP's quest to succeed Uhuru.

But the Garissa Town MP has dropped his opposition of the handshake, insisting that all leaders ought to support it.

"We will support the unity, cohesiveness, reconciliation of our two leaders (Raila and Uhuru).”

“We have no choice.”

“They have put us on the path of reconciliation, on the path of cohesiveness, on the path of unity.”

“When Uhuru says this is the position, all of us from the Deputy President to the smallest person, we say yes Sir.”

“And I am sure when my former party leader and Prime Minister says so, we shall do it.”
“The problem isn't them, the problem is their lieutenants," Duale said.

This is the first time Duale is pledging support for the handshake having opposed it when it was first made public.

His latest pronouncement could cause jitters within Tanga Tanga team.
