RAILA ODINGA should bring back MIGUNA MIGUNA if he is committed to handshake – Jubilee MP says

Wednesday June 5, 2019-An outspoken Jubilee Party MP has asked National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga, to bring back lawyer Miguna Miguna, from Canada since he was deported for swearing him as “People's President” last year.

Kimilili MP, Didmus Barasa, a close confidante of Deputy President William Ruto challenged Raila to use his influence and bring Miguna back to Kenya.

“Bring Miguna Miguna back if you believe in the handshake,” Barasa said.

Miguna was controversially deported to Canada after swearing in Raila as the People’s President in January 2018. This is despite several court orders barring the government from deporting him.

He later filed a for a petition at the high court to have the government allow him back into the country after which the High Court awarded him Sh7 million as compensation for the violation of his rights during his deportation to Canada.

Last week, during an interview with Citizen TV’s Jeff Koinage, Miguna stated that the orders have not been met.
