NASA strategist DAVID NDII is not joking with UHURU or his late father, KENYATTA, any more! See what he said on KENYATTA’s portrait on the new notes?

Tuesday June 4, 2019-Renowned economist and NASA strategist, David Ndii, has weighed in on the ongoing debate as to whether the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) violated the Constitution by having the image of Kenya's first President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta on the recently launched currency.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Ndii noted the decision to include the image of Mzee Jomo Kenyatta is not only impunity, but also a mischief from the side of the Government of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

According to Ndii, during the drafting of the Constitution, several heroes were considered for the image, but at the end, Kenyans settled on none.

He opined that having Mzee Kenyatta's image on the new notes goes against the spirit, and the law of the land.

“I drafted Chapter12 of the Constitution. Kenyans debated but could not agree on which heroes deserved to be on the currency so they settled on none. The Kenyatta image offends that spirit. It is deliberate mischief, impunity and contempt for the people— the hallmarks of Uhuru,” Ndii said.

The unveiling of the new currency has continued to elicit mixed reactions from different factions.
