MURATHE strikes again! See what he said about RUTO burning people alive in Kiambaa Church and TUJU’s alleged recording undermining the DP?

Monday June 24, 2019 - Former Jubilee Party Vice Chair, David Murathe, has broken his silence regarding the party's ongoing woes, as a section of members push for the exit of Secretary-General, Raphael Tuju.

Leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto want Tuju out over claims of undermining the DP, after a phone conversation emerged where he is allegedly fixing Ruto in a conversation with former Limuru MP, George Nyanja.

The voice believed to be that of Tuju is heard instructing Nyanja to organise a fundraiser for the reconstruction of the Kiambaa Church, after which the DP will be called in to finish the remaining part.

According to Murathe, the recording cannot be used to force Tuju out of the party, arguing that Tuju committed no offence in rallying support for the reconstruction of the church which was burnt down during the 2007 post-election clashes.

He noted that a continuation of harassment of people might see him engineer a massive walkout from the party.

“They should leave him alone because I don’t think he said anything wrong.”

“They should be happy that Tuju reminded them that it’s time to heal the country by fundraising for that church.”

“In any case, there are many options on the table and we can as well leave that party for them,” Murathe stated.

He claimed that there is an ongoing plot by Ruto's faction to forcefully take leadership slots, urging them to await for the party's elections set for next year.

“That period ends next year and why can’t they wait for elections and take the seat?” he said.
