Monday June 17, 2019 - A budding political analyst from Gusiiland has predicted tough times for Deputy President William Ruto, as he seeks to realise his 2022 presidential bid.
Speaking at Radio Maisha on Monday, political analyst, Dennis Anyoka, said the system which consista of influential persons from the business and intelligence class wants NASA leader, Raila Odinga, to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
Anyonka said President Uhuru Kenyatta’s outburst in Kasarani Stadium on Sunday is an indication that the system doesn’t want Ruto.
"Chances are high that there are fears about Ruto becoming president in 2022.”
“They fear him because each scandal seems to be touching him.”
“The deep state cannot be comfortable with such a person if there is an alternative,” Anyonka said.
On the other hand, he said, Raila seems to be basking in the admiration of the deep state and could be in the process of being cleaned before being fronted as their preferred candidate.
He termed this as the reason behind Raila's sudden change of behaviour from his initial aggressive nature, predicting that he could be the man to watch in 2022.
"For the past few years, about two, Raila has changed, there are no fights anywhere. Maybe he is being cleaned," he said.
