MIKE SONKO says WAITITU should be arrested if UHURU is serious in fighting corruption – The governor has stolen billions and he belongs to jail

Friday June 14, 2019 - Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko, has weighed in on the indefinite suspension of Kiambu Magistrate Bryan Khaemba.

On Thursday, Chief Justice David Maraga suspended Khaemba for giving Kiambu Governor, Ferdinand Waititu, anticipatory bail of sh 500,000.

Maraga said he suspended the Magistrate for granting the Governor bail despite the fact that the case was not in his jurisdiction.

Sharing his thoughts on Facebook on Friday, Sonko lauded Maraga for suspending the Magistrate who was the leader of cartels inside Kiambu Law Courts.

Sonko said the move was the epitome of restoring judicial confidence.

“My compliments to the President of the Supreme court of Kenya Hon. Chief Justice David Maraga on this great move. How on earth a magistrate does grants free bond to a suspect who has stolen billions even after sufficient evidence is presented,” Sonko wrote.

Sonko said the case must be reviewed once again and the Governor arrested over the misappropriation of Sh 2.5 billion shillings.
