Saturday June 29, 2019-Turkana Governor, Josephat Nanok, has laughed off a move by Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) of expelling him from Orange party over his dalliance with Deputy President William Ruto.
On Thursday during an ODM’sNational Executive Council(NEC) meeting in Nakuru, the Raila Odinga ‘s led party ousted Nanok as the party's vice chairman and replaced him Loima MP , Jeremiah Lomorukai.
But addressing journalists on Friday, Nanok said ODM is a dictatorial party and has been using Turkana electorate as voting robots.
"I'm not happy with the ODM party leadership for treating Turkana as just a votes machine for their benefits," Nanok said.
"But I will remain a member of the party and will continue to serve Turkana county as an ODM governor until my term concludes in 2022,” Nanok said.
Nanok’s ouster was backed by party leader Raila Odinga, Chairman John Mbadi and secretary general Edwin Sifuna.
