Saturday, June 15, 2019- The mystery of the now famous Kakamega twins, Sharon and Melon, who were separated at birth and reunited after 19-years through Facebook are out.

According to the analysis conducted by Lancet Pathologists, Sharon Mathias and Melon Lutenyo are twins.

The tests further confirmed that Rosemary Khaveveli Onyango is their biological mother.

The third girl, Melvis, is however not a sister to the twins

The three ladies were born in the same hospital and could have been separated at birth.

Their mothers Rosemary Khaveveli and Angelina Omina gave birth two days apart with the latter being given two girls who she named Melvis and Melon while Angelina named her baby Sharon.

Melvis and Melon were raised together while Sharon was raised separately until they reunited via Facebook 19-years later.

Before receiving the DNA results, the three vowed not to let it split them and stated that they would continue living as sisters  stating that they have established a strong bond of sisterhood that transcends any biological confirmation.

However, the parents of the twins have vowed to seek legal redress.
