Friday June 28, 2019 - Renowned political analyst, Mutahi Ngunyi, warned that the country is hurtling down a dangerous path over the alleged assassination plot against Deputy President William Ruto.

On Sunday, Ruto claimed that four Cabinet Secretaries from Mt Kenya region were planning to assassinate him before 2022 presidential elections.

Ruto named CSs Peter Munya (Trade), James Macharia (Transport), Sicily Kariuki (Health), Joe Mucheru (ICT) and Interior Principal Secretary, Karanja Kibicho, as among the planners of his assassination.

Sharing his thoughts via social media, Mutahi said the country is going down a reckless path and urged Kenyans to pray hard.

“Country is going down a reckless path. Pray it does not acquire a life of its own. Ruto,” Mutahi said

Mutahi also put a question up on how many Kenyans believe in Ruto’s assassination plot.
