How the ghosts of the two people JAGUAR killed in 2017 and tried to cover up have come to haunt him

Thursday, June 27, 2019 - In March 2017, Charles Kanyi alias Jaguar, was accused of killing two people at Sagana-Makutano Highway by dangerous driving.

Reports at time indicated that while the Range Rover that caused the accident belonged to the Kigeugeu hit-maker, it was being driven by a lady.

However, Jaguar, who knows the right people, claimed that he was the one behind wheel and somehow managed to cover up the incident.

This incident has returned to haunt him after he was arrested yesterday for uttering xenophobic remarks and inciting Kenyans against Tanzanians and Ugandans doing business in Kenya.

When he was arraigned in court, the prosecution brought the charges leveled against Jaguar in 2017 while opposing bail application for the dishonorable first time legislator.

In his submission, State lawyer, Duncan Ondimu, said that if the respondent (Jaguar) is released, there is a likelihood that the case will be interfered with.

“… it is important for the court to be aware that he’s a convict..he was sentenced on 21st this year on two counts of causing death by dangerous driving…if released in bail he might commit further crimes,” the advocate said.

The Prosecution said it is this case that warrants a denial of bail and he should be detained at the Kamukunji Police Station.

However, Jaguar’s lawyer insisted that he has no powers to influence the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and asked that his client be granted bail with conditions and if he violates them, the court can give further directions.
