Tuesday June 18, 2019 - Former Kiambu County Governor, William Kabogo, has for the first time shared his thoughts about President Uhuru Kenyatta’s speech where he attacked Mt Kenya leaders who are engaged in early presidential campaigns.
While addressing an Akorino congregation at Kasarani Stadium, Uhuru said these early campaigns are derailing his development agenda for Kenyans.
Uhuru also rubbished Deputy President William Ruto’s Tanga Tanga squad terming them as “criminals” busy politicking instead of focusing on development.
“You were elected because of me and thus you should cease from intimidating me, let that time comes, I will get you out from hideouts, “Uhuru said.
In an interview with a local radio station on Tuesday, Kabogo supported Uhuru’s choice of words saying this is the time for leaders to work together for the betterment of Wanjiku and not for their selfish gain.
“The question of who will succeed who shouldn’t rise at this stage, let them embrace the spirit of hard work and serve Kenyans who got them to power, “Kabogo said.
Last month, Kabogo was spotted attending a Tanga Tanga rally associated with DP.
