Governor STEPHEN SANG’ is tossed! See the man he is up against that got him arrested yesterday? The man is so powerful and well connected

Tuesday June 11, 2019 - Kapseret MP, Oscar Kipchumba Sudi, has opposed the arrest of Nandi Governor Stephen Sang.

Venting on Tuesday, Sudi claimed that Sang was only championing the interests of his people when he stormed Kibwari Tea Farm and destroyed tea crops alleged to be planted on grabbed land.

The land in question involved former gubernatorial aspirant, Henry Kosgei.

According Sudi, who is an ally of Deputy President William Ruto, restraining orders were obtained from a High Court in Eldoret at 2 p.m but the Nandi Governor was arrested anyway and driven to Kisumu's Directorate of Criminal Investigation offices to record a statement where he was later locked up, which according to Sudi, is unfair and unjust.

"Henry Kosgey is my great friend and I even relate well with his family.”

“He is a wise leader who performed very well when he was serving people of Tinderet and Nandi at large.”

I personally hold a lot of respect for him, however, I wish that justice could be served to people of Nandi." Sudi posted on Facebook.

He blasted a section of leaders in Nandi, led by Nandi Hills MP, Alfred Keter, for doublespeak saying they betrayed their people for siding with the land grabbers

"Governor Stephen Sang might not have undertaken the repossession of Kaburet Cattle Dip land in a good manner but it was within his mandate as the Governor to champion the interests of the people of Nandi."

"What is shocking in Nandi, is the way some leaders ganged up against the Governor yet they promised residents of Nandi that they will lead in repossession of all grabbed lands across Nandi County,” said Sudi.
