Governor MUTUA tells RUTO and his allies to resign if they are not comfortable with CBK‘s directive of phasing out Sh 1000

Thursday June 6, 2019-Machakos Governor, Alfred Mutua, has told government employees who are against the program of phasing out old Sh 1000 by October 1 to resign.

Already some of Deputy President William Ruto’s allies have already gone to court to oppose the government’s move terming it unconstitutional.

But commenting on social media on Thursday, Governor Mutua said it’s improper and unacceptable for any state officer to sue the same government over a government program.

“In my book, it is Improper and Unacceptable for a GOVERNMENT employee & State Officer at that, to sue the same GOVERNMENT over a GOVERNMENT program of exchanging all 1,000 shillings notes by October. The proper thing is for one to first resign from the GOVERNMENT. Wanaogopa NINI?” Mutua wrote on his Twitter page.

East Africa Legislative Assembly(EALA) MP, Simon Mbugua, has already moved to court opposing the phasing out of Sh 1000 notes

Mbugua, a city wheeler dealer, is a close ally of Ruto.
