Friday June 28, 2019-Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have raided an exclusive cyber office in Karen in pursuit of suspects who are believed to have authored a letter that has formed the basis of assassination claims against Deputy President William Ruto.

According to reports, a detective who is aware of the investigation, further claimed that the authorities were hunting two individuals who may have forged the letter with the intention of raising a false alarm.

A lot of has been retrieved from that office. The officers are presently pursuing two individuals, who are suspected to have been behind the fake letter to cause a scare,” the sleuth said.
The DCI officer, who spoke to the press, highlighted a number of discrepancies in the letter that had led security officers to suspect forgery.
Although detectives suspect the letter was forged, the investigations have nevertheless extended to Office of the President and at State House – to establish if the letter was delivered in hard copy.
We cannot dismiss the letter as fake until we establish where it came from. At this moment, we are treating it as a document of interest,” DCI boss George Kinoti.
