Monday June 10, 2019-President Uhuru Kenyatta will not keep his alleged pledge to back his deputy William Ruto upon his retirement in 2022, lawyer and author Miguna Miguna has observed.

This was revealed by exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna, who observed that it was now clear Uhuru had 'betrayed' his principal assistant.

He noted that Ruto was all alone in his bid to become Kenya's fifth President.

"Karanja Kibicho is nothing but a bureaucrat Uhuru Kenyatta hand-picked just as he hand-picked Fred Matiangi (Interior CS), Gordon Kihalang’wa (Immigration PS), George Kinoti (DCI) and Noordin Haji (DPP). William Ruto should face his betrayer Uhuru Kenyatta head-on. Cowardice will fail him as it has failed Raila Odinga," he posted.

Miguna was reacting to allegations that State House operatives were using Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho to scuttle the DP's bid.

He advised Ruto to be bold and demand for his space in the Jubilee party.
He urged the DP to confront Uhuru over Kibicho’s suspect mission, failure to which his (Ruto) ambition will be in jeopardy.

There have been media reports that the DP confronted Kibicho at JKIA demanding answers why he (Kibicho) was allegedly ordering security officers to keep off his functions across the country.

Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro over the weekend also claimed the powerful PS was sponsoring anti-Ruto campaigns in the Mount Kenya region.
