35 Harvard University professors in Kenya to learn from President UHURU KENYATTA- He may be awarded Nobel Prize

Saturday June 22, 2019-35 scholars from prestigious Harvard University in the United States are in the country to learn from President Uhuru Kenyatta's economic development framework.

The professors, who are from Harvard Business School, will benchmark on the strategies and plans Uhuru's government has put in place to enhance economic growth and development in the country.

According to State House, the professors met Uhuru on Friday evening, and he addressed them on his transformative agenda aimed at creating jobs and enhancing economic prosperity for all. 

“Kenya is moving in the right direction of progress and his administration is aggressively implementing a transformative development agenda to create prosperity for all," Uhuru told the professors.

 Among the issues the scholars were curious to learn from the Kenyan leader included factors that were propelling the country to be the regional economic powerhouse.
Kenya is becoming one of the biggest economies in Africa.

 The professors' visit come even as the county continues to struggle with tough economic times characterised by increasing unemployment, ballooning wage bill and runaway national debt.

Kenya's debt currently stands at approximately Sh 5.2 trillion
