Teller Job in Kenya

Overall Job Purpose

The Teller will be responsible for processing customer’s cash receipts and payments so as to enhance customer satisfaction.
·         Proactively engage customers by offering them product and services in order to enhance customer loyalty/retention.
·         Positively identify the customers by scrutinizing the documents against the banking system in order to avoid losses.
·         Receiving cash and cheques by verifying the genuineness so as to minimize the losses to the bank.
·         Cross sell bank products by interviewing the customers over the counter in order to enhance business growth.
·         Reconciliation of cash by day end balancing to ensure accurate bank balances
·         Prepararation of  various reports to inform branch management
·         Observe laid down operating procedures to ensure internal controls are adhered to.
·         A Business related degree from a reputable institution.
·         A minimum of 1year experience in a financial institution.

·         Practical experiences in use of MS Office applications.
·         Ability to work independently under strict deadlines.
·         Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
·         Results oriented and problem solving skills.
·         Demonstrated good planning and organizational skills.
·         Must be a team player and have integrity.
