Police officers in Eldoret receive new orders from above on what to do with the thieves that stole 10 trays of eggs at RUTO’s Sugoi home

Friday May 3, 2019-Police investigating the theft of 10 trays of eggs from Deputy President William Ruto's Sugoi farm received instruction on how to handle the case.

Speaking yesterday, Eldoret West Police Boss Zachariah Bittok said that they were asked to drop the case and let the parties involved solve the matter.

"Though initial investigations revealed that the four workers, who are residents in the homestead, were involved in the stealing of the eggs, we have received instructions from above to allow the affected parties to solve the matter outside the court,” Bittok told journalists.

Bittok stated that the matter had been blown out of proportion.

Four workers, among them two men and two women, were arrested for stealing 10 trays of eggs valued at Ksh 2,500 from Ruto’s farm in Sugoi and taken to Turbo Police Station on Tuesday following the Monday theft, but denied stealing from the DP.
