Friday May 3, 2019-Self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement general, Miguna Miguna, has called for the immediate arrest of Kiambu Governor, Ferdinand Waititu for stealing Sh 2.5 billion from his county.
In a tweet on Thursday, Miguna questioned the role of Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji and Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti if Waititu is going free.
Miguna said that it is unfortunate to note that Waititu is walking scot-free despite reported misuse of Sh2.5 billion in his government.
“The @DCI_Kenya Kinoti and @ODPP_KE Haji have been praised by despots and renegades for "fighting corruption" yet Ferdinand Waititu is still walking free despite having buried Sh2.6 billion of public money in fictional peacekeeping and State House operations," Miguna wrote on his Twitter page.
While appearing before the Senate County Public Accounts and Investments Committee (CPAIC) on Thursday, Waititu denied claims that his government had siphoned funds belonging to the general public.
The governor was put to task to explain the Sh2.5 billion abnormal expenditures incurred by his government.
