Late Tanzanian billionaire REGINALD MENGI’s procession brings business in Dar to a halt (PHOTOs)

Tuesday, May 07, 2019- Business in Dar es Salaam came to a halt on Monday May 6th when the body of late billionaire, Reginald Mengi who died last week in Dubai arrived at the Julius Nyerere International Airport.

The late Media magnate’s widow Jacqueline Ntuyabaliwe alias K Lynn and family members were at the airport to receive the body.

The casket bearing his body was loaded into a black Mercedes hearse shortly after arrival at the airport.

The hearse was then driven through the streets of Dar es Salaam under tight security where thousands of mourners braved heavy downpour to catch a glimpse of Mengi’s body.

The body was taken to Lugalo Military hospital mortuary later that evening. 

The public will have a chance to pay their final respects today May 7th when the body will be taken to Karimjee Hall in Dar es Salaam.

On Wednesday May 8th, the body will be flown to his ancestral home in Machame, Moshi District in northern Tanzania with the Burial slated for Thursday.
