Tuesday May 7, 2019-Award winning photographer, Boniface Mwangi, has spoken for the first time about his arrest on Monday.

Mwangi was arrested by detectives from Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) who detained him at Central Police Station.

He was accused of being among men who are planning a revolution in Kenya to oust President Uhuru Kenyatta regime, a claim which Mwangi denied.

Addressing the press after he was released, Mwangi thanked Kenyans for speaking up when they learnt of his arrest.

Mwangi said that the government of President Uhuru Kenyatta is afraid of the pending revolution.

"Thank you everyone for your voices. l have been released! Kenyans are angry, hungry and broke. They feel like revolting against bad governance and corruption, and the government is afraid it’s going to happen. Revolution is not treason," Mwangi said.

Already Kenyans are organizing a one million march in Nairobi on May 31st to oust the corrupt Jubilee regime.

The protesters will meet at Jevanjee Gardens where they will march to Uhuru Park to compel the government of President Uhuru Kenyatta resign over high level of corruption.
