Is RAILA ODINGA‘s ODM going bankrupt because of the handshake? - Nairobi ODM chairman, GEORGE ALADWA reveals the truth

Monday May 13, 2019-Nairobi ODM chairman, George Aladwa, has rubbished claims that the Orange party is bankrupt.

Speaking on Radio Citizen's Mjadala Wa Citizen show on Monday, Aladwa, who is also the Makadara MP, said that ODM remains financially stable, thanks to its reliable cash flow.

Aladwa noted that the party draws its funds from the government and members through contributions and cannot go bankrupt with its good membership.

“ODM haijasota, maana sisi wanachama tunachanga na pia tunapata pesa kutoka kwa serikali. Hata sasa tumenunua nyumba mpya itakayokuwa makao makuu yetu (ODM is not bankrupt. We make our money from members' contributions and allocations from the government. The party has even purchased a new building which will house our headquarters)," Aladwa said.

The vocal politician noted that contrary to claims and widespread allegations that the party is weakening ahead of the 2022 polls, the political outfit is actually getting stronger and bigger.
