Here are the names of five thieves who broke into Barclays Bank ATMs in Nairobi and stole Sh 11 million – These people are cursed

Thursday May 2, 2019-Five middle aged men have today been arraigned in a Nairobi court and charged with stealing Sh 11 million from various Barclays Bank ATMs during this year’s Easter Holiday.

The five, Fredrick Herman Otiya, Daniel Orero Okindo, George Gachungu Njoroge, John Otieno Makambogo and Patrick Nyoike were charged with stealing over Sh 11 million from Barclays Bank's ATMs at Mater Hospital, Kenyatta National Hospital and at Kenya Cinema Plaza.

They all pleaded not guilty and were released on a cash bail of Sh 500,000 each.

Njoroge, a police officer attached to the Rapid Deployment Unit in Isiolo, was said to be the mastermind of the theft.

Police believe the theft of the cash from four Barclays Bank ATMs was an inside job.
They said it probably involved bank employees and workers of a security firm responsible for cash distribution.

Thugs, who seem to have information about the bank’s ATM security codes, struck two machines in the city and made off with the money.

The high-tech crime known in cybercrime lingo as ATM jackpotting has been used to steal more than Sh100 million in the US over the last one year.
