Excitement as RAILA ODINGA visits ex-President DANIEL MOI at his home as DP RUTO remains persona non grata in Kabarak

Monday May 6, 2019-Opposition Leader Raila Odinga on Sunday paid a visit to retired President Daniel Arap Moi’s home in Kabarak, days after the burial of the 94-year-old’s son Jonathan.

Raila was in the company of his brother Oburu Odinga and was received by Baringo Senator and Moi’s son Gideon, whom they enjoy a fairly stable political relationship.

Through his Twitter account, Raila confirmed that he took some time off on Sunday to visit and condole with the Moi Family.

“Visited retired President Daniel Arap Moi at his Kabarak home to condole with him following the recent passing of his son Jonathan. We continue to wish strength to the former President and his family. May God grant them peace during this trying time,” he said.

Raila was absent during the burial of Moi son last week as he was accompanying President Uhuru Kenyatta to China to sign some business deals.

This comes even as Deputy President William Ruto remains unwanted in Moi’s home. He has tried severally to meet the former President in vain.
