UHURU forces RUTO to explain why he boycotted HUDUMA NAMBA launch in Kakamega County – He was trembling like a leaf

Wednesday April 3, 2019 - Deputy President William Ruto was on Tuesday forced to explain why he missed the Huduma Namba registration launch in Kakamega on Tuesday.

Last week, President Uhuru Kenyatta dispatched top leaders in the country to various regions to ensure they influence Kenyans to come out and register.

Uhuru was in Machakos, Raila in Mombasa and Ruto had been scheduled to be the chief guest during the launch in Kakamega.

However, Ruto refused to turn up in Kakamega and instead sent Sports and Culture Cabinet Secretary, Amina Mohamed and Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa.

Netizens peddled conspiracy theories on why Ruto did not attend the registration exercise.

This forced Ruto to explain that he was in a meeting with a Cuban delegation led by the Vice President of the Councils of State Ines María Chapman Waugh.

“This (the meeting at his office) is a State function and therefore I could not go (to Kakamega),” Ruto told a press briefing at his office.

He was trembling like a leaf when explaining why he boycotted a presidential assignment.
