Friday April 5, 2019-Embattled Migori Governor, Okoth Obado, will today stay away from a function presided by his Party Leader, Raila Amolo Odinga.

“I would have wished to join Raila Odinga and the people of Awendo in the commissioning of the KMTC.

"Unfortunately the orders given by the court in the Sharon Otieno murder case bar me from stepping into Awendo town because of its proximity to Homa Bay County,” Obado explained at a Press briefing on Thursday, April 4.

Obado had to excuse himself from the function citing court restrictions that limit his movement.

However, he expressed optimism that one day he will have his freedom to access every part of his county and beyond.

Raila is expected to be in Awendo, Migori County to officiate the groundbreaking ceremony of a Kenya Medical Training College in the area.
