Shock as Kikuyus block DP RUTO from boarding his chopper! See what happened to the DP in Kiambu yesterday?

Monday April 1, 2019-Deputy President William Ruto was on Sunday blocked from leaving in his helicopter after attending a church service in Kiambaa, Kiambu County.

According to reports, Ruto’s supporters positioned themselves outside the church as they waited for the service to end.

As Ruto was coming out of the church, they started chanting slogans in support of his 2022 presidency and demanded that he addresses them.

They were in branded yellow t-shirts and had a banner which was inscribed, "Dr. William Samoei Ruto, Our Choice 2022."

Overwhelmed by the gesture, Ruto gave in and addressed the crowd that had gathered around the helicopter before he was allowed to leave.

Ruto had been accompanied to the church by Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waitutu and his Kajiado counterpart, Joseph Ole Lenku, among other leaders supporting his course of becoming President in 2022.
