Thursday April 4, 2019-Wajir County Woman Representative, Fatuma Gedi, is in hot soup after it emerged that she allegedly stole documents from the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and leaked them to the media.
According to reports, the documents Gedi stole from the DCI revolved around her controversial sex tape that leaked a while ago depicting her copulating.
The reports further revealed that the legislator was aided by a Parliamentary staff member to steal the documents in order to implicate four colleagues in the scandal.
If found guilty of the offence, the Woman Rep is likely to lose her seat, face prosecution or get suspended from House's proceedings.
The documents stolen included a letter which had been written by the DCI and addressed to the Clerk of the National Assembly Michael Sialai.
The DCI had asked the clerk to facilitate the four members to record statements and appear for questioning over the video.
The four legislators include Adan Keynan (Eldas), Abdihakim Osman (Fafi), Purity Wangui (Kirinyaga) and Rehema Jaldesa (Isiolo).
