Shock as it emerges RAILA tried to beg RUTO for a handshake first before meeting UHURU for the same but the DP turned him down

Wednesday April 10, 2019-It has been more than one year since the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition Leader Raila Odinga.

The country has experienced relative calmness since the handshake and business seems to be thriving since there are no more street demonstrations by Raila Odinga’s camp and boycott of products from certain companies that allegedly supported Uhuru/Ruto’s re-election.

But before he mate President Uhuru Kenyatta at Harambee House on the 9th of March 2018 for the now famous handshake, Raila tried to meet Deputy President William Ruto for the same but he declined.

Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV, Ruto noted that Raila approached him four times but refused to reconcile with him since he didn’t believe him as he sensed the former PM had ill motives.

"Raila Odinga approached me on four occasions after the elections to have a discussion. I declined to engage the former Prime Minister,” Ruto stated.
