RUTO publicly refuses to launch Huduma Namba in Kakamega after he was sent by UHURU – I have other busy things to do!

Tuesday April 2, 2019 - Deputy President William Ruto has for the first time embarrassed his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta after he refused to launch Huduma Namba in Kakamega County on Tuesday.

Last week, President Uhuru Kenyatta invited his DP, NASA principals, Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader, Musalia Mudavadi where he assigned them duties of launching Huduma Namba in different parts of the country.

Uhuru said he will personally go to Machakos County to launch the number, Ruto was supposed to be in Kakamega County, Raila was assigned Mombasa County while Musalia and Kalonzo were assigned Kajiado and Muranga counties respectively.

However, Ruto was the only leader who refused to heed the president’s call saying he was busy at his offices in Nairobi.

Instead, Ruto sent Devolution Cabinet Secretary, Eugene Wamalwa, to represent him in Kakamega County.

Mr Wamalwa told the crowd that the DP appears to be engaged elsewhere and had sent him to represent him.
