Thursday April 18, 2019-Former Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister, Martha Karua, has poked holes to Deputy President William Ruto's presidential ambitions, insisting that the DP is the least qualified for the seat.

Speaking during an interview on KTN, Karua insisted that Dr. Ruto does not have qualities to lead Kenya as a result of so many corruption scandals hovering over his head, adding that it's Kenyans to decide when that time comes.

"Let me say it again, I have said before, he's the least qualified. Personally I think he's totally unsuitable to lead. But if Kenyans decide so, I have no powers. But he's least qualified," said Karua.

This comes even as Ruto has intensified campaigns in his bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta, at times chiding his critics as people who think a child from poor background cannot lead.

"It's by God's grace am here. Some people think certain seats are preserves of the rich. They get shocked when they see children of the poor doing well," he said over the weekend at Kakamega.

In recent weeks, Ruto has accused DCI George Kinoti of being used by unnamed people in Government to fight him on pretext of the war against corruption.
