Friday, April 05, 2019- Police have nabbed Bhang worth Sh2.5 million at Salgaa road along the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway.

The 2159 stones, 380 tolls and 4 sacks of bhang were found in an abandoned car.

This comes just days after police officers seized bhang worth Sh1.5Million in a vehicle that was involved in an accident along the same road.

Meanwhile, a petition over the legalization of consumption of bhang in the Kenya that was presented to the Senate two years ago, by Gwada Ogot, a resident of Siaya County, continues to gather dust.

While appearing before Senate committee on Health then chaired by Dr. Wilfred Machage, Mr. Ogot said:

“I pray the House recommends amnesty for all people jailed for possession, usage, sale, cultivation and transportation of cannabis sativa. Criminalising cannabis creates criminals where none existed,”
