ODM loss in Embakasi South and Ugenya is an indication that Kenyans are tired with RAILA ODINGA – KOIGI WAMWERE says

Sunday April 7,2019-Former Subukia MP, Koigi Wamwere has poked holes into the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leadership saying they should hang the boots and handle the mantle to more vibrant leaders.

Koigi, who was speaking to Sauti ya Mwananchi radio on Saturday said ODM loss in Ugenya and Embakasi South by-elections is an indication that ODM leaders are tired and they need to retire.

Koigi who was detained with Raila Odinga in 1980 noted that the refusal by some leaders to exit ODM has left the party unproductive, adding that the leaders and have demonstrated that they lack the ideas to steer it to success.

“The entire leadership is composed of selfish persons who are on a mission to satisfy themselves. They don't care about the interests of their followers and must leave now," Koigi said.

However, he said that his views should not be taken as a direct shot at anyone, adding that he has noting personal against the party or anyone in it.

“I have no issues with the party, what I don't agree with it the tired leadership,” said Koigi.
