Tuesday April 23, 2019-Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Mt Kenya Central diocese Bishop, Timothy Gichere, on Sunday shocked many Kenyans after he vowed to accept Deputy President William Ruto’s looted money.

Speaking at the Murang'a GK prison, the good bishop swore that the church would not turn away any funds donated by politicians even if it’s looted.

He went on to lambast leaders who had recently accused the church of wining and dining with corrupt leaders all in the name of donations.

“When leaders come to church and contribute money with clean hearts, we can’t decline because we are not in a position to know if the money was attained from corruption, and we are not there to rebuke and label people," he reiterated.

The Bishop further stated that the church was not mandated to distinguish between legally and illegally acquired funds and warned leaders to desist from politicising the whole issue.

“Let the judicial process go on without politicising the war on corruption so that the perpetrators can be arrested and charged,” he asserted.
