Mother of the man who killed Moi University Student in cold blood defends her son and reveals they were lovers.

Wednesday, April 10, 2019-The mother of the heartless man who killed Ivy Wangeci, a sixth year medical student at Moi University, has come out to defend her son.

Speaking to the media outside the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Nancy Kinuthia, the mother to Naftali Kinuthia said her son was not capable of committing  such a heinous act.

On the same breath, she revealed that she was aware that her son was in a relationship with the medical student who died on the spot.

"Ni kama walikuwa wameachana kurudiana ndio sijui... hana hasira na hajawai dhuru mtu, hata hawezi, hata nashindwa hiyo ni nini (It's like they had broken up but I don't know if they had reconciled... he doesn't have a temper and he has never harmed anyone, he can't, I don't understand what this is)," Ms Kinuthia said.

Kinuthia, who is an IT expert working with a leading betting firm in Nairobi, drove himself to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital where the late  IVY was doing her practicals.

He then lured her out of the hospital before using an axe to hither on the head, killing her on the spot.

He tried to flee but was cornered by Boda boda operators who nearly lynched him but he was rescued by police.

He’s currently recuperating at  MTRH  waiting to be arraigned in court to anser to murder charges.
