Thursday April 11, 2019-Former Kakamega Senator Dr. Boni Khalwale has once again launched scathing attacks at COTU boss Francis Atwoli, whom he has not been in good terms with lately.
Speaking on Wednesday, Khalwale poked holes into Atwoli's efforts to rally the Luhya region behind one leader, terming it a clever attempt with a deeper intention.
According to Khalwale, Atwoli’s attempts to rally the region behind Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi is part of a bigger plan to broker it out politically.
The former legislator claimed that Atwoli is working on the orders of ODM boss Raila Odinga, in the capacity of his chief agent, to betray the Luhya nation.
He alleged that Raila has embarked on a scheme to once again acquire the Luhya vote ahead of his presidential bid for the 2022 elections, as he has always done and was using Atwoli to achieve it butt said their nefarious plot against the nation will flop badly.
"Atwoli hana ujuzi wowote wa siasa za Western Kenya, yeye mwenyewe alijaribu kugombea kiti mara mbili na akashindwa na Martin Shikuku. Ako na mawazo potovu. (He has no political experience and is actually a political failure who attempted to vie but was twice beaten by Martin Shikuku. He cannot mislead us)," he said.
"He is nothing but a chief agent of Raila Odinga in Western Kenya and I can prove it," added the former lawmaker.
