ITUMBI claims DP RUTO has honored his Sh50 Million Harambee Stars pledge but Kenyans want proof.

Tuesday, April 09, 2019- State House operative, Dennis Itumbi, has announced that DP Ruto has finally honored a pledge  he made to Kenya’s National football team, Harambee Stars.

Ruto had promised to reward the team with a cool Sh50 million if they qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations slated for July in Egypt.

Qualify, they did, but Ruto remained quite forcing Kenyans to remind him to keep his word.

In February, Sports Principal Secretary Kirimi Kaberia stated that the Sh50 million was not part of the Sh242 million set aside by the government for Harambee Stars’ AFCON preparations.

However, Itumbi has claimed that the DP has lived up to his words and handed over the cash to the team.
“Keeping the Promise: Harambee stars gets the cash promised by DP @WilliamsRuto for qualifying to play at the Africa Cup of Nations. I wish Harambee stars well as they prepare for the tournament,” he tweeted.
Kenyans are not buying his story and want to see proof over the payment.
