Thursday April 25, 2019-Auditor General Edward Ouko has given adverse report regarding the Sh250 Eurobond proceeds and thus indicting Treasury Cabinet Secretary, Henry Rotich, as well as President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto.
In his report tabled in the National Assembly, Ouko noted that the Sh250 Eurobond money was received but never did any specific project.
He faulted Rotich for taking Kenyans in circles and failing to disclose the specific development projects that were financed by the fund.
He said his office could not ascertain if indeed all the monies raised through Eurobond was spent on any development project as should be the case.
Ouko advised that the future Eurobonds should be earmarked and traced to specific development projects.
Both President Kenyatta, Ruto and Rotich had convinced Kenyans that the 250 billion raised through Eurobond had been spent on development projects in the country despite the Opposition holding a different view.
