Monday April 8, 2019 - President Uhuru Kenyatta has said Jubilee Party will field a candidate in the Wajir West by election to teach Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leaders a lesson.

Speaking at State House on Friday when he met Jubilee candidate, Ahmed Kolosh, Uhuru said though the seat was initially won by an ODM candidate, Jubilee will win the by election by a landslide.

Mr Kolosh was accompanied by Leader of Majority in Parliament, Aden Duale.

“We assured our party leader that North Eastern is a Jubilee zone and we shall mobilize wananchi and members of our party to win,” Duale said.

Uhuru spoke hours before ODM suffered a humiliating defeat in Ugenya and Embakasi by-elections that took place last Friday.

In Ugenya, Movement for Development Growth‘s candidate, David Ochieng, beat ODM’s Chris Karani.

In Embakasi South, Wiper Democratic Movement’s candidate, Julius Mawathe, thrashed ODM’s Irshad Sumra.
