I will from today support RAILA ODINGA, handshake has made me open my eyes – RUTO’s girl tells Radio Jambo

Wednesday April 3,2019-A close confidante of Deputy President William Ruto has  said she has learnt a lot from the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition chief  Raila Odinga.

Speaking on Radio Citizen's Jambo Kenya show on Wednesday morning, Nairobi County Speaker, Beatrice Elachi, said the handshake between Uhuru and Raila has taught him that there are no permanent enemies in politics.

She also vowed never to insult Raila or any other politician in the future, after realizing that there
is nothing like enmity or personal issues in the Kenyan political arena.

“Kutukanana nimewacha kabisa. Hapo mbeleni nilikuwa msitari wa mbele kumtukana Raila kisha kidogo namwona tena ameshikana na mkono na yule niliyedhani ni adui yake.

(After seeing Raila reconcile with the man I considered his sworn enemy, I have sworn that never again will I insult him or anyone else for personal reasons)," she said.

Elachi was among a group of Jubilee Party politicians who were going around the country insulting Raila Odinga during the 2017 presidential election.

They were reportedly sent by Ruto to insult Raila Odinga who was vying for presidency on NASA ticket.
