Thursday April 25, 2019-Former President Daniel Moi’s eldest son, Jonathan Moi, on Saturday died while undergoing treatment at Mediheal hospital in Nakuru.
Jonathan, 65, succumbed to pancreatic cancer after being ill for some time.
According to impeccable sources, Jonathan was not in good terms with his father even at the time he met his maker.
Renowned blogger and social media crusader, Robert Alai, has corroborated the claims that senior Moi had ostracized his son and they were not in good terms.
Mzee is said to have refused to give Jonathan money to go for specialized treatment in France where he had booked a hospital.
“Did Moi ostracize Jonathan Moi? Seems like JT was not in talking terms with the father and denied even access to funds for proper treatment. This is deep,” Alai wrote on his Twitter page.
Jonathan Moi will be buried on Saturday April 27 at his Baringo home in a ceremony that will be attended by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
