Here is what ODM Secretary General said after the party was humiliated by RUTO in Embakasi South and Ugenya by elections- This is too bad for RAILA

Monday April 8, 2019-Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General, Edwin Sifuna, has said he is ready to resign after the party’s dismissal performance in Embakasi South and Ugenya by elections.

In the by elections held on Friday, ODM candidates were thrashed by little known candidates.

Speaking on Monday at Radio Citizen’s Jambo Show Sifuna acknowledged being under pressure from party supporters, noting that most of the blame has been on him after the defeat.

He expressed his readiness to vacate the seat should the need arise, and leave it to other persons deemed better and able to steer the party in the right direction.

"Ikiwa inaonekana sifanyi kazi vizuri niambiwe. Sina shida kuambiwa na kukosolewa ama kuambiwa niondokee mwingine (I am ready to exit the office for another person if my leadership is considered insufficient)," Sifuna said.

Sifuna also said  ODM is a steady bloc whose strength and talented membership cannot be matched by any other party in the nation.

“Katika ODM tuko na talanta nyingi, sijaona chama chenye talanta kama ODM. Tuko na watu wa kutosha kuongoza (we have enough leaders in ODM who can occupy the different available spots. We are a very talented party)," he said.
