HBR presenter DIDGE apologises for ‘tasteless’ remarks about slain University Student IVY WANGECI.

Thursday, April 11, 2019- Homeboyz Radio presenter Max Nyatome alias Didge has issued a public apology over his insensitive remarks about slain Moi University student Ivy Wangeci.

On Tuesday, during his late night show dubbed Mtaani the singer turned radio presenter, claimed the sixth year medical student at Moi University School of Medicine deserved to die because she was not loyal to her killer boyfriend.

It later turned out that the monster who killed Ivy in cold blood was just a stalker who would not take No for an answer.

Netizens took to social media to castigate Didge and his co-presenter Miss Katiwa for being insensitive and lacking empathy for the deceased and her family.

Didge has now taken to social media to apologise for his insensitive remarks.

Read his full statement below.

“It is with a sincere heart that I apologise to anyone who was offended by the remarks made on our show Mtaani yesterday (Tuesday the 9th of March) past 10 pm.

After careful revision of the said show, we made some remarks that were provocative and seemingly tasteless on a very sensitive subject matter, having said that, I am also deeply sorry to anyone who might have been hurt by these comments.

As one of the lead presenters of the Mtaani show, I take full responsibility and I’m totally remorseful for the specific statements. I would also like to apologise to our colleagues and the @homeboyzkenya (HBR) station as a whole.

We as MTAANI apologise to our fans as well and the immediate public on this issue. We are definitely taking steps to make sure we improve on the quality of our content. “
