Lab Technologists (10 Posts)

o    Conduct laboratory testing procedures as per the required SOPs;
o    Establish routine work flow; develop and refine SOPs, job aids, log books, and referral forms as needed; conduct lab activities that improve test performance and decrease turnaround time;
o    Develop and implement an equipment maintenance program;
o    Do reagent quantification, forecasting and timely reporting to the lab Manager, SCMLT, and CMLC;
o    Provide technical information to physicians, patients and other health care workers in regard to lab diagnostic work;
o    Receiving, collecting, labeling, registering, storage and Transportation of lab specimens;
o    Preparation of lab reagents;
o    Conduct any other duty as may be prescribed by the supervisor.
Qualifications
o    Kenyan citizen;
o    A holder of Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or any other equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board;
o    Must be registered by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB) with a valid practicing license;
o    Must have at least 2 years of working experience in a diagnostic Medical Laboratory;
o    Computer Literate;
o    Good communication and interpersonal skills;
o    Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
o    Good organizational skills;
o    Ability to foster a good working environment conducive to excellent customer service;
o    Knowledge of general safety and quality assurance procedures.
 Registered Nurses (70 Posts)
o    Assessing, planning, implementing nursing interventions and evaluating patient’s outcomes;
o    Providing appropriate healthcare services including integrated management of childhood illness (IMCI), immunization, PMTCT, Ante-Natal Care and delivery, providing health education and counseling to patients/clients and community on identified health needs;
o    Referring patients and clients appropriately;
o    Facilitating patients’ admission and initiating discharge plans;
o    Maintaining records on patients’/clients health condition and care;
o    Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment; and collecting and compiling data.
Qualifications
o    Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing or Kenya Registered Midwifery;
o    Registration certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya; and
o    Valid practicing license from Nursing Council of Kenya;
o    Computer literate.

o    Participating in supply chain management;
o    Giving continuous medical education on a regular basis;
o    Undertake requisite professional development activities;
o    Performing any other duties delegated by your respective supervisor.
Qualifications
o    Kenyan citizen;
o    Diploma in Pharmaceutical from an institution recognized in Kenya, OR Equivalent;
o    Successful completion of one-year internship in a hospital within Kenya;
o    Registered and recognized by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya;
o    Comprehensive understanding basic surgical procedures;
o    In-depth understanding of management of common medical condition both inpatient and outpatient care;
o    Satisfy Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya.

Pharmacist
o    Giving expert opinion on management of patients in the outpatient department using current guidelines and protocols;
o    Giving expert opinion on management of patients in the inpatient department using current guidelines and protocols;
o    Timely submission of reports as may be required;
o    Running the pharmacy both dispensing and bulk section;
o    Participating in supply chain management;
o    Giving continuous medical education on a regular basis;
o    Undertake requisite professional development activities;
o    Performing any other duties delegated by your respective supervisor.
Qualifications
o    Kenya citizen;
o    Bachelor of pharmacy degree from an institution recognized in Kenya;
o    Successful completion of one-year internship in a hospital within Kenya;
o    Registered and recognized by the pharmacy and poisons Board;
o    Comprehensive understanding basic surgical procedures;
o    In depth understanding of management of common medical condition both inpatient and outpatient care;
o    Satisfy Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya.

Medical Officers (10 Posts)
o    Management of patients in the outpatient department using current guidelines and protocols;
o    Management of patients in the inpatient department using current guidelines and protocols;
o    Running of emergency and elective theatre lists;
o    Giving continuous medical education on a regular basis;
o    Undertake requisite professional development activities;
o    Performing any other duties delegated by your respective supervisor.
Qualifications
o    Kenyan citizen;
o    Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from an institution recognized in Kenya, OR Equivalent;
o    Successful completion of one-year internship in a hospital within Kenya;
o    Registered and recognized by the Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists Board
o    Comprehensive understanding basic surgical procedures;
o    In depth understanding of management of common medical condition both inpatient and outpatient care;
o    Satisfy Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya.

Radiologists (2 Posts)

o    Conduct of procedures/ examination of patients in the radiology departments both inpatient and outpatient;
o    Giving expert opinion when called upon;
o    Running of emergency and elective radiological procedure lists;
o    Giving continuous medical education on a regular basis;
o    Undertake requisite professional development activities;
o    Performing any other duties delegated by your respective supervisor.
Qualifications
o    Kenyan citizen;
o    Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from an institution recognized in Kenya, OR Equivalent;
o    Master of Medicine (MMED) training in Radiology or its equivalent from a university recognized in Kenya;
o    Registered and recognized by the Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists Board;
o    In depth understanding of management of common radiological procedures for both inpatient and outpatient care;
o    Satisfy Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya.

Plaster Technicians
o    Manipulating and reducing fractures and dislocations;
o    Fixing and removing casts, bandages to and from patients;
o    Correcting congenital tallipes Equino-varus. (C.E.T.V);
o    Participating in the management of minor Orthopaedic and trauma cases in emergencies and accidents;
o    Guiding and counselling patients, clients and staff on issues regarding Orthopaedic trauma;
o    Collecting and compiling data;
o    Performing any other assignments that may be given by the supervisor;
o    Responsible for the Orthopaedic tools/instruments.
Qualifications
o    Be a Kenyan Citizen;
o    Be a holder of a Certificate in Orthopaedic Plaster and traction technology or Orthopaedic plaster technology from a recognized institution;
o    Must have good inter-personal and communication skills;
o    Satisfy the requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
 Oral Health Officer
o    Participating in oral health demonstrations, exhibitions and giving lectures to
communities and schools;
o    Collecting data for fluoride testing in water samples, analyzing and interpreting
results and advising the relevant authorities accordingly;
o    Diagnosis and treatment of common dental conditions;
o    Performing basic dental procedures.
Qualifications
o    Kenyan citizen;
o    Possess at least Diploma in Community Oral Health from KMTC or other recognized
training;
o    Minimum of two years experience;
o    Computer literacy;
o    Must meet the requirements of the Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
