Thursday April 25, 2019-Deputy President William Ruto has asked Kenyans to take time and pray for former President Daniel Moi and his family at this trying moment.

Speaking at the home of the late Jonathan Moi in Baringo County yesterday, Ruto noted that it is difficult to lose a father, a brother and more importantly a son and wondered what might be going through Mzee Daniel Moi’s mind.

He recounted how Moi lead Kenya peacefully as President for 24 years and asked Kenyans to stand with him in prayer at this difficult moment when he has lost his beloved son Jonathan.

This comes even as ex-President Moi banned the DP and other Kenyans from visiting him at his Kabarak home to mourn.

According to Moi’s Press Secretary Lee Njiru, the former President asked Kenyans to give him his privacy to mourn the death of his son in peace and would not be taking in any visitors.

Since then, only President Uhuru Kenyatta has visited Moi at his home.
