ACK Church now gives RUTO one condition to meet before accepting his ill-gotten billions-This is a joke of the year

Wednesday April 24, 2019-Anglican Church of Kenya has banned fundraisers popularly known as Harambees in their churches over what it termed as "the misuse of the pulpit to sanitise ill gotten money from politicians".

Speaking yesterday, Archbishop Jackson ole Sapit has called on church leaders to lead in the fight against graft and to refuse any donations from corrupt leaders.

According to Sapit, going forward the Anglican Church members will not be allowed to hold fundraisers inside their place of worship but are free to do it outside the sanctuary.

At the same time, he urged politicians donating money to church like Deputy President William Ruto not to show off or advertise while giving money to church projects.

"I urge all our bishops to shun partisan politics on the pulpit and let harambees not be a subtle way of sanitising the corrupt leaders and become a way of opening the pulpit to be used wrongly by our worshippers," said Sapit.

"We shall campaign tirelessly to ensure that all leaders seeking election to a public office must meet all the ethical standards as laid out in chapter six of our Constitution," he added.
