Thursday March 7, 2019-National Treasury CS Henry Rotich's lawyer, Katwa Kigen, has revealed why it took detectives from DCI longer than usual to grill the CS over Arror and Kimwarer dams’ scandal in which taxpayers’ lost more than Sh 20 billion.

Speaking yesterday, Kigen explained that the reason the questioning took the whole 2 days was because they were dealing with international contracts which took time to break down.

"It took a while for investigators to understand how international contracts work," Kigen told journalists as he left the DCI headquarters yesterday at night.

According Kigen, Rotich had answered all the questions and provided all the information that was being sought by investigators.

But according to sources, the DCI may be planning to arrest Rotich after his grilling as they believe he played a bigger role in the scandal.
