Tuesday March 5, 2019-President Uhuru Kenyatta has said he is ready to go to jail if he is caught stealing public resources.

Over the weekend, Kapseret MP, Oscar Sudi, sensationally accused Uhuru of corruption, threatening to expose corrupt deals the Head of State's family had benefited from in amassing wealth.

But speaking in Kirinyaga County on Tuesday  when he open the annual Devolution Conference at Sagana State Lodge , Uhuru warned those accusing him to have grabbed Karura Forest in Nairobi  to take that evidence to Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI) instead of shouting at funerals.

“I heard someone say I stole somebody's property. I want to tell him to walk to Karura forest and at the the DCI offices and report what I have stolen. There's no problem. This issue of issuing threats in funerals won't help you,” Uhuru said.

The Head of State said dead people have no ability to solve corruption cases and it was useless to shout such allegations during funeral events.

"The person who can help you is DCI. Go and report and tell the world that I have reported Uhuru Kenyatta has stolen this and this with evidence to back it up. I have no problem with that," he said.
